The opera
& dance drama In That Place Wholly
Faraway tells a story of the national musician Wang Luobin who assumed the
mission of spreading national music in West China and realized his dream about
music and life. The playwright was Feng Li; The lyrics writer was Song
Xiaoming; The composer was Zhang Hongguang; The stage designer was Wang
Xingang; The lighting designer was Qu Guojun; The executive director and choreographer was Shuai Xiaojun, and the general director was
Xia Guangxing. The drama was created by China National Opera & Dance
Drama Theater, and first performed at Beijing Tianqiao Theater on January 28,
2010. It won the Excellent Play Award at the excellent play exhibition by
State-level art troupes in 2010.
