Chinese in Southern California celebrated the 65th anniversary of the
establishment of the People's Republic of China and the 35th anniversary of the
establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the U.S. and the "Large-scale Show Beauty of China National Opera &
Dance Drama Theater" was held by Chinese American Federation at San
Gabriel Mission Playhouse in the evening of September 12 (Wednesday).

Deputy Consul General in Los Angeles Sun Lushan watched the show. He represented
the Consul General to appreciate the organizers Chinese American Federation and
China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater and all performers. Sun Lushan
indicated that this show fell upon the 35th anniversary of the establishment of
Sino-US relation and he believed that this show not only further improved the
cultural and humanity communication between China and U.S.A. but also helped
improve the mutual understanding, friendship and trust between people in these
two countries. He wished everyone all the best.

Zhang Jun, a famous host and barrister of US federal

On the
day of the show, all seated at San Gabriel Mission Playhouse were occupied and
thousands of audiences on behalf of communities in Los Angeles watched this
wonderful performance. China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater brought
the audiences with the performance Beauty
which rocked the Playhouse. The performance included dance, Suona solo, flute
solo, male vocal solo, female vocal solo, Jinghu solo, duet of Guzheng and
Pipa, male dance solo, percussion music, male and female vocal duet......and
others, totally 20 wonderful performances each of which had different meaning.
Artists present their professional levels on the stage and made the audience
immersed in this wonderful visual feast.

dance South Beauty of China National
Opera & Dance Drama Theater lifted the curtain. Then, Sun Chubo who won the
Excellent Performing Award in CCTV Ethnic Instrument TV Competition performed a
flute solo Riding Fast To Carry
Provisions, Mo Xiaofeng who won the golden prize in the 13th Peacock Award
National Vocal Music Competition performed a female vocal solo Liuyang River, the dance of China
National Opera & Dance Drama Theater Pottery
Workers, Huang Hexiang who is a national Grade 1 actor with gold disk
awards and famous singer performed male vocal solo Jiumei and Cheering for
Victory, Xisiriguleng who was one of top ten in the TV Show China's Good
Dance performed dance solo the Pursue of
Heart, Wang Yan, a national Grade 1 actor and member of Chinese Musician
Association performed a female vocal solo I
Love You China and other programs.

The
famous soprano Chen Xiaoduo sang Carmen,
Hu Yang who won the gold medal of Tao Li Cup performed a male dance solo Dance with a Widely Joyful Song, and Chen Xiaoduo and Tian Yan sang Drinking Song which activated the
climactic moment and received thunderous applause.
At the
end of the show, the audiences stood and applauded and were reluctant to leave.
Many of them said that they hoped there would be more such high-quality show to
be presented in the future.
